As of now, I’d vote in favor of moving in this direction. It does a nice job reigning in a bunch of the ideas and perceived downsides of the protocol into a “referral system” and also gives individuals more chances to win against the whales.
For instance:
- Proposal: Airdrop INT to losing wallets instead of burning it - #2 by blastoise - this is addressed by there being a default team (the protocol), so individuals who bought tickets without a specific ref code would have a chance of winning 50% of the IFT rewards, if a referral-less ticket wins the main jackpot.
- Proposal for Protocol-owned "Ticket Farming" - protocol owned ticket farming now can lead to individual success, based on the same reasons as above.
